Our Mission: Culloden Church exists to make Jesus known.
What We Believe: Yes, it’s only Jesus that saves. Jesus said “I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6. So, this means that Jesus is the only way to eternal life. A freeing, and humbling offer…to experience a relationship with the living God through Jesus.
More on what we believe as a church from our Statement of Faith: We believe in God as eternal Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God created and sustains the universe. The eternal purpose of God the Father is to create a people who will bring glory to God forever. God alone is worthy of worship.
We believe that God became human in Jesus Christ. Jesus came to restore the world because humans have rejected God in disobedience. Jesus taught and modeled the way of God’s kingdom. He died on the cross, making it possible for us to accept a renewed relationship with God. He rose from the dead, broke the power of sin and death, and frees us to live in obedience to God’s will.
We believe that God the Holy Spirit invites all people to be reconciled with God and to join the global family of faith. Believers confess their faith, are baptized, and join in the celebration of the Lord’s Supper. Through the power of the Holy Spirit and guided by the Bible, members of the church seek to live as followers of Christ and invite others to experience this new life. As Christians, we look forward to the day when God will once again send Jesus to bring all things under God’s eternal rule.

Spiritually Growing in Christ:
As we follow Christ, there is an expectation of continual growth. In Colossians 1:6, Paul says, "All over the world this gospel is bearing fruit and growing, just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and understood God’s grace in all its truth." This verse has an emphasis that the gospel (the good news of Jesus coming to save people from the power & penalty of sin) will continue to advance and grow. Once someone begins a relationship with Christ, there is an expectation to grow in their love for Jesus, and the evidence that they have been loved by Him. At Culloden, we have come up with this phrase: KNOW, LIVE & SHARE - the Gospel. Take a look at this spiritual growth track which helps us holistically understand different areas of growth that can happen as we know Jesus and follow him as Lord & King. This spiritual growth track is a set of self reflective questions that help you understand where you are growing & where you may need further encouragement and support.
Networks & Organizations:
Mennonite Brethren: Culloden is a part of the B.C. Mennonite Brethren Conference and Canadian Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches. We are part of over 100 churches in B.C. that support, celebrate and share a common vision with one another to see Jesus known and made famous. There is autonomy and a celebrated diversity in languages, ethnicities, background (from seeker, doubter, to background as a Christian to new immigrant from another group of churches) in each of these churches across Canada.
Church Planting: We also believe and support the work of new churches being planted to see more people reached with the good news of Jesus. Read more about how God is growing and birthing new churches across Canada through the C2C Network
Global Mission: We support the vision of MB Mission to see holistic church planting that transforms communities among the least reached peoples of the world. We support a number of foreign missionaries that are serving with MB Mission around the world.
