Racism & Love
Since the death of George Floyd, there has been much protest, cries for justice, and important conversations that are happening about the systemic racism and injustice towards African Americans. Since God created all people equal and in his image (Genesis 1:27, 28), we are called to love and care for all people. God also is one who cares for the oppressed, and calls Christians to stand up for those who being neglected, abused, and mistreated (read Psalm 146:7-9)
Pastor Paul recently interviewed Ruky Asante, a former member of Culloden Church. Ruky shares about her experience of what it has been like living in Canada, after moving from Ghana. Ruky has been able to compete in the Olympics and shares a bit about her experience of being an athlete, vs. how other friends are treated that are black. In the interview, there's also a clear explanation of how people should treat others who follow Jesus.
